With over 30 years of experience as a business leader and communications executive, Catherine brings deep expertise in business strategy, internal and external communications, marketing communications, and reputation and crisis management. Known for her integrity, insight, and unwavering professionalism, she has built a reputation for cultivating trust and lasting relationships across boardrooms, teams, and communities.

Catherine is a strategic advisor, leadership coach, and compelling speaker, equally at home guiding C-suite executives through complexity or supporting teams in building culture from within. Her work blends strategic clarity, creative innovation, and emotional intelligence, empowering leaders to strengthen their voice, sharpen their impact, and lead with confidence.

Her career began with academic studies in English, Psychology, and Corporate Communications, and has been shaped by advanced programs at Yale University (Psychology), University of North Texas (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access), University of Florida (Healing Arts), Howard University (Project Management), the University of Copenhagen (Sustainable Development), University of Alberta (Workplace Psychological Health and Safety) and specialized training in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution through a leading business school in France. Catherine has also completed training in trauma-informed practice (University of Illinois - Urbana Champagne), which guides how she creates safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for learning and growth.
Catherine has held senior roles in healthcare, agency, and nonprofit sectors, including at Michael Garron Hospital, Hill & Knowlton Canada, ParticipACTION, and as Executive Director of a national charity. She has taught marketing communications and research to post graduate students and is a frequent guest lecturer. She founded PR+ in 1998, now CAMERON Communications, where she continues to lead with integrity and purpose.

In addition to her corporate practice, Catherine is a trained art therapy practitioner and professional artist. Her trauma-informed work supports individuals, particularly survivors, in shaping and sharing their stories with courage, dignity, and impact.
Based in Toronto, CAMERON Communications serves clients across Canada and internationally. The firm is known for strategic insight, enduring partnerships, and results that create lasting value. ​Catherine is the mother of two adult daughters and an active volunteer in causes including animal welfare, food security, youth mental health, human rights, and victim services.
